If you are a SENIOR in need of HOUSING (or in some cases nearly a senior and disabled) - but have a fixed income, contact National Church Residences for information on apartment availability in your area!
For ongoing rental assistance, you can apply through HUD. Waiting lists are not always open, and they may tell you that the waiting list is long. Do not let that stop you - apply anyway! They generally consider Veterans first, Disabled second and single parents with children third. Many counselors are willing to sign a medical form from HUD, acknowledging that you have a "disability" if you are being seen for depression or anxiety due to post cult recovery and this can bump you up on the list!
